12 South Hangout-As one of the largest rooms in an early 1900’s charming Tudor style home, this space was vastly underutilized. We were tasked with creating a family hangout for a busy young family of six. It needed to be a playroom, friends and family entry, movie watching space, mom’s office, homework station, entertaining space and it needed to be conducive to staying organized. We did this through evaluating storage needs then used a mixture of custom furnishings and built ins. Durable but beautiful fabrics were chosen to withstand the wear this room needed to endure. Lighting was layered so all uses could be met. All this was done keeping a potential future remodel in mind.
